“Great views and wonderful rooms. Due to the hurricane last year, there is no food options at the INN at this time, BUT the cafe in Little Switzerland is a great option. Enjoy a cold beer or bottle of wine purchased from the little Switzerland Cafe on the balcony of your room at the Alpine Inn. The views are wonderful. The rooms have been upgraded and are beautiful. Give it a try, I dont think you will be sorry.”
“Stayed at the Alpine Inn this week while I was working in the area, and I will definitely be back! The room was lovely, the details so thoughtful, and the sunrise views outside my window were unbeatable. One of the owners, Steve, was so kind and shared with me all that they’ve overcome (and continue to do so) since Helene—they’ve done an incredible job. Highly recommend this little mountain gem!”
“Staying at the Alpine Inn felt like stepping back in time—in the best possible way. Nestled high in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this historic inn is all about peace, simplicity, and breathtaking views. If you’re craving fresh mountain air, starry nights, and a truly unplugged experience, the Alpine Inn delivers. The rooms are cozy and rustic, with everything you need, the sound of the wind through the trees and the sun rising over the mountains right outside your window. Waking up to that view was unforgettable. The innkeepers, Carter & Tom couldn’t have been more welcoming. You can tell they genuinely care about the place and the guests. There Is a strong sense of community here. It’s the kind of place where strangers become friends over morning coffee. The Alpine Inn is more than a place to sleep—it’s an experience. Whether you’re hiking the Blue Ridge Parkway, exploring Little Switzerland, or just relaxing on the balcony, it’s a beautiful and soul-refreshing escape. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to return.”
“What a gem! This is easily one of my favorite places I have stayed in the blue ridge mountains. If you are seeking a quaint, clean, and peaceful inn with amazing views, this is your place! The owners have been working tirelessly since Helene to rebuild what they have lost and are ready to welcome you. The food truck they operate also has delicious food (must try the breakfast burrito) with fresh local ice cream for dessert.”
“This little Inn is a hidden treasure, unique to say the least! Although the outside is quite "rustic", our room was brand new, recently reconstructed because of damage from Helene. The balcony with the gorgeous view was worth it all! We enjoyed chatting with the owner and also meeting Da Vinci. You'll just have to go there to find out who that is!”
“My son and I stayed at the Alpine Inn over 4th of July weekend. We loved it. The views from our room and sitting outside in front of the Inn were breathtaking - you couldn’t ask for better views. The room was very quiet and peaceful. I normally don’t sleep well when traveling but I got great sleep here. I also loved the cabiny feel to the room and private balcony. There is a food truck on-site and it’s also great! We loved the food, including the Navajo taco, burgers, and breakfast. The hash browns are the best ever. It’s really convenient to be able to eat there. The guys that own it are very friendly and the service is great. While staying there, we went to Emerald Village, the Linville caverns, and Tom’s Creek Falls - all of which were fantastic. We also saw a bear! I can’t wait to go back, hopefully soon.”
